A fundraising Bingo evening in Grays raised over £1000 to help local mum Beccy Lewis who is battling to overcome life threatening cancer.
The evening was organised by friend of the family Joe Munday of South Ockendon, and was compered by local RNLI co-ordinator Jason Kemp. The event was held at Thurrock Yacht Club who provided the venue free of charge.
Around 50 guests of all ages, including friends of the family but also complete strangers, came together to support one of Thurrock's own.
As well as bingo, there was a raffle for signed football memorabilia, donated by Arsenal star Alex Iwobi and his father Chuka.
Joe said, " We would like to thank everybody who came and donated, including guests on the night, but also those who freely gave their time to create such a successful event to help Beccy and her family. "
Anybody who would like to support Beccy can follow her story on the crowdfunding page set up by her family at https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/becs-fight.
