At TYC we appreciate that the thought of joining a yacht club can seem daunting. Even the smallest boat can be a significant investment when you are not sure that sailing is your thing.
As a club we are not big on formality, but we are big on wanting to get more people on the water. That is why we have developed a crew membership programme.
The idea is simple. We have introduced a new grade of membership which allows people to "try before they buy" full membership.
Crew members enjoy all of the benefits of belonging to the club, but are under no pressure to buy a boat. Instead they make themselves available to crew on other members boats. In return, full members are encouraged to take crew members out with them when they are racing or day sailing. This enhances the saliing experience for all parties.
The scheme is open to adults aged over 18. All enquiries are welcome - please contact the membership secretary quoting " crew membership", or complete our online application form.
